You’ve made it!

Today is the last day of SAT Academy. We’ll cover additional ways to practice with Acely and review some things from the past two days. You’ll also get some SAT tips and strategies for the rest of your SAT prep.

Today’s Objective

  • Check-in with your study plan
  • Learn how to request hard questions
  • Learn how to request similar questions
  • Discover the “Practice Your Mistakes” tool
  • Start learning SAT Strategy

Time to complete: 30-60 minutes

Today’s Tutorial

1. Return to Study Plan

On day 1, we made a plan for reaching our goal score. We’ve accomplished a lot since then, so our plan may have made some adjustments.

In the study plan, you’ll see your progress at the top and the recommended practice below. Each topic has a number of questions assigned for the whole plan. This may have changed based on your recent diagnostic and practice.

Now let’s focus on how this week is going and what else it recommends we do. Filter the plan to show only week one. Find a topic that has remaining questions and click on the progress bar. This will bring you to a dedicated practice mode for that topic.

Note: questions started in any practice mode will count towards their topic in the plan, so you can complete your quotas via generalized practice as well.

Aim to complete 5 questions.

2. Fine-tuning practice mode

Go ahead and return to the home screen by clicking the Acely Logo in the top left. You’ll see there’s still one starting task remaining, practicing a hard question. You may have encountered some hard questions already, but did you know you can specifically request only hard questions? This is a great way to fine-tune your studying. Let’s open practice mode from our main dashboard.

In practice mode, check out our chat features. There’s more to the “Next Question” button than meets the eye. You can select a new question based on difficulty level (easy, medium, hard), or use the “Similar Question” option to reinforce concepts from a missed question.

Request and complete one hard question.

3. Reviewing Mistakes

Now that you’ve practiced a few questions, you’ve probably made some mistakes. That’s okay! Mistakes show us where we need to focus more energy. Acely allows you to Review Your Mistakes in one convenient place.

From the home page, click on “Performance” in the left navigation, then select “DSAT.”

Scroll to the bottom of the DSAT performance page. Here, you’ll find a section dedicated to past mistakes, organized by subtopic.

The subtopics are sorted so that those with the most mistakes appear first. Each subtopic card displays the number of questions you’ve answered incorrectly in that area.

Click on a subtopic with a high mistake count to start reviewing. You’ll be shown a list of all questions you answered incorrectly on that topic.

Select a question to enter practice mode for that specific question.

Try to answer it correctly this time. If you’re successful, the question status will update to “Fixed.” Your goal is to fix as many incorrect answers as possible.

There won’t be that many since you’ve answered a small amount of questions. As you practice more, remember to revisit this tool. Use this mistake review process to identify patterns in your errors. Are there certain types of questions or topics where you consistently struggle? Understanding these patterns will help you focus your future study sessions.

You can also request similar questions for questions you know are problem areas from this view.

4. Tips and Strategies for the DSAT

Practice is a huge part of the equation, but we know strategy plays a role too. That’s why we’ve created a doc with tons of it! Check it out as you wrap up your last day.
